Charles Miller, director, Dave Wagner guest organist with 50 Choral singers from Dearborn Area Churches and Members of the Motor City Brass Band in a festival of hymns featuring some of the most well-known and beloved hymns of the Christian faith, from Advent to Pentecost. Cherry Hill Presbyterian Church at Cherry Hill Road and Telegraph Road in Dearborn.
Dave Wagner and Peter Whorf host another broadcast concert with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra with Music Director Jader Bignamini and Principal Trombonist Kenneth Thompkins in a world premiere of the Carlo Simon trombone concerto Troubled Waters. Also on the concert: Variations on a Theme by Haydn by Johannes Brahms and the Symphony no. 8 in F Major by Ludwig Van Beethoven. The concert is also heard on the multiple stations of the WRCJ/Detroit Symphony Orchestra Radio Network.
Dave Wagner and Peter Whorf co-host another live broadcast with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra at Orchestra Hall. Violinist Augustin Hadelich joins conductor Joann Falleta in a concert that features two violin concertos; the Concerto No. 2 by the Chevalier De Saint-Georges, and the Concerto for Violin and Orchestra by Igor Stravinsky. The concert will be heard on multiple stations on the Detroit Symphony/ WRCJ radio network.
Dave joins the Birmingham Concert Band in a free concert at the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, 1800 Maple Road in Birmingham Michigan. Music of Richard Wagner, Pietro Mascagni, and the Psalm 150 by Jack Stamp on the new Casavant organ at the church.
